Manu Katche is one of the best drummers in the world, I follow him before social networks existed, since 1985!!! When I read a computer magazine of French origin and they talked about Michael Jonasz, of course they mentioned Manu and when I bought the live album I said: wow!!! What a beast!!! For me, the gig with Robbie Robertson was the best!!! In those days! I didn't get tired of hearing it!at the same time SO omg!!! Was to much!!!

this is George Acogny, i think, the producer of the song "Shaking the Tree". Manu + PG - it all started with the "So" sessions.

Manu - you’re a mystery to me… because at almost 60 years of age, and playing drums since age four, I have usually steered away from listening to drum solos. Even with my personal drum heroes, for the most part. Except for two, Buddy Rich and Manu Katche. Opposite ends of the drumming spectrum. I often wonder why is it I can listen and enjoy Manu’s solos? For me, your solos equate to a modern version of Buddy’s, foundation-ally. Musical structure, I love the tuning of the drums and always strive for similar, your dynamics, interesting and enjoyable to listen to, and you look like you’re having an even better time playing than the listener listening. Thank you for posting this.
